Ideal Candidate Profile:
We are looking for an accountant with:
- At least 5 years of practice experience.
- Minimum qualification of AAT Level 4.
- Extensive experience working with SMEs of varying sizes.
- Proficiency in Xero accounting software.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of both existing and new clients.
- Assist clients with technical and tax-related queries.
- Serve as the primary contact for client inquiries.
- Review and prepare statutory limited company accounts and CT600 returns.
- Handle bookkeeping for larger, more complex clients.
- Review and provide feedback on the bookkeeping done by the team.
- Review Self-Assessment returns.
- Provide advisory services and liaise with clients.
- Stay updated with financial policies, practices, and tax regulations.
- Handle HMRC correspondence and inquiries.
- Support third-party auditors.
- Attend internal and client meetings as needed.
- Participate in team training and implement new or improved procedures and processes.
Requirements:
- AAT Level 4 qualification or higher.
- At least 5 years of practice experience.
- Proficiency in Xero and QuickBooks, with certification preferred.
- Solid background in conducting thorough bookkeeping reviews.
- Proven experience in managing multiple client accounts within an accounting practice.
- Excellent communication skills via email, phone, and video chat.
- Strong command of English grammar.
