Your new role
This is an exciting time to join the team as this company are replacing their project accounting system. This role would suit a part-qualified individual looking to further their experience and they would offer study support whilst being supported by and reporting to the Senior Project Accountant.Purpose of the role
- Supporting the project managers in setting up/maintaining project finances.
- Ensuring projects have all necessary accounting information and that this information is kept up to date.
- Critically reviewing monthly work in progress with project managers/directors.
- Providing ad hoc training to professional staff on the project accounting system.
- Regular involvement in managing the finances on their largest projects.
- Occasional visits to other offices to meet with project managers/directors.
- Review and critically assess project profitability.
- Developing internal reporting using Power BI.
- Providing other finance support as required.
- Producing both regular and ad hoc reports from the system.
What you'll need to succeed
- Good month end exposure.
- Studying for your AAT/CIMA/ACCA preferred.
- Good communication skills.
