REED Recruitment are exclusively recruiting for a Payroll Administrator to work with a leading Educational Estatblishment based in Poole.

This is a full time position, office based, salary is up to £27,000 depending on experience.

Poole Based

Role:

  • To process the monthly payrolls for the college and its subsidiaries (approximately 700 employees in total across the three payrolls).
  • To play an active part in assisting the Payroll Supervisor with the development of the integrated HR/Payroll Computer system (CHRIS). This will entail basic system customisation; advanced data entry, import from other systems and roll out of self-service functionalities.
  • To assist the Payroll Supervisor with Year End HMRC and Pension reconciliations and corresponding audits.
  • Give advice and guidance to employees on payroll queries.
  • Maintain accurate and up to date records on the computerised payroll system and input of payroll data relating to starters, leavers and variations including statutory payments, incremental progression, pay awards, tax details, bank details.
  • Perform gross to net calculations
  • Undertake the monthly calculations of SSP and SMP and occupational sick and maternity pay in accordance with relevant Regulations and Policies. Ensure accurate records are kept.
  • Check relevant audit reports as required.
  • Be responsible for overall administration and processing of monthly expenses and sorting and filing of all Time Sheets.
  • Monthly Pensions administration.
  • Working with Financial Accounts team, ensure accurate reconciliation of net pay control accounts, including follow up and clearing of outstanding items and monthly statutory payments (HMRC and Pensions).
  • Calculate, prepare and submit monthly payments and reconciliations to HMRC, Pension Schemes and other external Agencies eg CSA, Courts, Unions DWP etc
  • Prepare statistical and other reports associated with payroll and pensions.
  • Answer telephone and respond to queries appropriately
  • Carry out monthly scanning to personal files.
  • Carry out monthly payroll filing.
  • Assist in the audit and checking of basic payroll data entry.
  • Performing any other duties as required by the Payroll Supervisor.
