Our Client, A Greater Manchester Local Authority, is seeking an Children's Social Worker to join its Duty and Assessment team.
Rochdale Council offer fantastic support to the Social Workers who join the council as an agency worker.
Fantastic payrate of £38 per hour!
Responsibilities of this role:
- Undertaking home visits to gather information to establish any safeguarding concerns
- Initial Child / Family needs assessments
- S47 enquiries including co ordination of stat meetings and closing S47 if no further action or concern
- Provide short term interventions
- Work within the courts, taking statutory action when necessary to protect a child, including emergency protection order applications and initiation of care proceedings
- Duty rota cover
Requirements of this role:
- Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.
- Must have minimum of 2 years experience
- Must be a car driver, with access to own vehicle.
