Kenneth Brian Associates are working on a new Demand Planner vacancy for our client, who are based in Reigate.
The role of Demand Planner will be crucial in forecasting and managing inventory levels to meet customer demand, and requires a good understanding of market trends, data analysis skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Key responsibilities of the Demand Planner role will include:
- Developing and maintaining accurate demand forecasts for all product, considering historical sales data, demand fluctuations, market trends, seasonality and shipping issues
- Monitoring inventory levels across multiple distribution centres to ensure optimal stock levels, while minimising excess inventory
- Working with procurement, sales and supply chain to communicate forecasted demand and ensure timely production and shipment scheduling
- Identifying and address demand-related issues such as shortages or surplus inventory
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement solutions
- Conducting regular performance reviews of forecasting models, adjusting parameters as required to improve forecast accuracy
- Tracking key performance metrics related to demand forecasting, inventory levels and supply chain efficiency
- Creating reports for management
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- Previous experience in a similar or related role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends and make recommendations
