Berry Recruitment are currently seeking an ICT Engineer for our client based in Hemel Hempstead.
Role Overview:
Work closely with end customers, manage and resolve issues via their ticketing system, provide technical support, share knowledge with the team, and occasionally travel to customer sites.
Requirements:
- BSc/MSc in Computer Science, Information Systems, or IT Operations Management.
- 3+ years of system support experience, preferably in SaaS environments.
- Full clean driving licence required.
Technical Skills:
- Proficient with Microsoft Office 365, Windows desktop and server support, and Exchange (On-Prem and Online).
- Experience with terminal server environments (Citrix, AVD, RDS).
- Knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, and general networking (CLI, Subnetting, NAT).
- DNS, router (Cisco, HP, Draytek), and firewall (Watchguard, SonicWALL) configuration and support.
- Experience with HP ProLiant & Dell PowerEdge servers, VMware & Hyper-V, and storage technologies (NAS, NetApps, Synology).
- Strong understanding of Office 365, Azure, SSL certificates, and Microsoft SQL Server.
- Knowledge of email filtering/anti-spam solutions, networking technologies (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, VPN, Firewall), virtualization (Hyper-V, VMware), and public cloud platforms.
- Experience with automation scripting (Python, PowerShell).
Responsibilities:
- Provide advanced technical support for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Manage and resolve escalated incidents and identify root causes for recurring issues.
- Implement changes to IT systems with minimal disruption.
- Create and maintain technical documentation.
- Build strong customer relationships and procure necessary hardware/software.
- Train and mentor team members.
