Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 - The salary on offer that is made is to be dependant upon the candidate's qualification and experience.
Location: Essex, candidate to ideally live in Chelmsford and Brentwood (central to county) - The role would cover these postcode locations in the Essex & Suffolk regions: SS. CM. CO. IP. RM

Job Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Mobile Water Technician to complete a range of Legionella maintenance PPMs, remedial cleaning, sampling, chemical testing, minor plumbing, and electro / mechanical tasks to meet clients' requirements.
The Role:
- Completion of routine monitoring tasks in line with the Approved Code of Practice L8. This is a mobile role, travelling to client sites and completing the necessary tasks to maintain compliance.
- To be an ambassador for Mitie whilst visiting customers sites.
- Maintain our customer's water log books and complete the necessary documentation in accordance with current guidelines and company policy.
- To take a variety of water samples from multiple sector properties and document these samples in line with company procedures.
- Carry out water system clean and disinfections in accordance with the Approved Code of Practice L8 and company procedures.
- Testing, servicing and maintaining of thermostatic mixing valves and basic plumbing works where required.
- The ability to complete works on heating and chilled water systems and chlorine dioxide systems is desirable but not essential.
- To communicate on a daily basis to the service department that all tasks are carried out efficiently.
- Maintain adequate stocks of chemicals and materials as necessary.
- Ensure that any equipment that you are responsible is kept clean and is properly maintained.
- Can you take a personal responsibility for your own health and safety and the safety of those around you? You will be required to follow safety procedures as per company policy and any site-specific or additional client requirements.
- Completing any reasonable task requested by your manager and / or the business
The Candidate:
- You should be capable of maintaining customers' waterlog books and completing the necessary documentation according to current guidelines and company policy.
- You must conduct a variety of water samples from multiple sector properties and document these samples in line with company procedures.
- Carry out water system cleaning and disinfection in accordance with the Approved Code of Practice L8 and company procedures.
- You will be responsible for testing, servicing, and maintaining thermostatic mixing valves along with basic plumbing works where required.
- You will have a full current driving licence and have basic IT skills (Microsoft package). You must have excellent communication, organisational, and time management skills.
- The ideal candidate will have previous experience in Compliance Servicing, Legionella Monitoring, or Water Hygiene Treatment.
- Knowledge and experience in maintaining water systems are desirable
- Basic IT skills, including the use of tablets / mobile devices and Microsoft programmes are necessary.
- The ability to communicate efficiently and effectively is required in every part of this role.
- You will be required to work alone and as part of a team and should thrive in both environments.
