Payroll Clerk - Fully office based role

We have a fabulous opportunity for an experienced Payroll Clerk to join a highly successful organisation within the Nottinghamshire area. Working as part of the wider HR Team you will be responsible for ensuring the payroll is run accurately and smoothly whilst adhering to current legislation.
The role of Payroll Clerk:
- Collation and preparation of a weekly payroll for the group of companies
- Ensuring that all workers / contractors are paid correctly, on time and in line with current legislation.
- Processing pensions, SSP, SMP, SPP, national insurance, income tax and other statutory deductions.
- Calculation of monthly overtime hours, processing sub-contractor timesheets, accurately recording staff absences, and producing reports
- Setting up new starters on Sage payroll & HR and processing leaver documentation and final payments and P45's
- Healthcare and company benefit administration preparation of P11D's.
- Administer to Year End Payroll procedures issuing P60'S
- Issuing petty cash, posting and reconciliation to both daily cash book and petty cash tin.
- Ensuring all payroll and HR records kept accurate and up to date.
- Assisting with annual accounts audit and personnel record maintenance
The skills and experience requirements for the role Payroll Clerk are:
- Previous experience within a payroll role / accounts role
- Experience of using Sage and producing high volume payroll runs.
- High attention to detail and the ability to manage own workload.
- Good use of MS Office including Excel
- Minimum Grade C or equivalent in Math and English
- The ability to work within the office full time
