We are seeking a proactive and organised individual to join a national company as a Purchasing Administrator. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to develop or enhance their administration skills within a purchasing department. While prior purchasing experience is not required, good IT skills and a methodical approach to work are essential.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Process orders from operations promptly to meet project timelines.
  • Accurately place purchase orders with suppliers, ensuring clear identification of goods receipt locations.
  • Conduct virtual picking/shipping of products and service stock to engineers from outsourced stock locations.
  • Execute ‘call-off' purchase orders with suppliers as necessary.
  • Handle order acknowledgements and expedite purchase orders with suppliers, updating the business system accordingly.
  • Manage supplier returns and complete internal documentation.
  • Perform general administrative duties to support the purchasing department.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Good IT skills and proficiency in using business systems.
  • A process-driven and methodical approach to managing workloads.
  • Previous administrative experience is beneficial.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
