Our client, an instantly recognisable organisation that operates a fast-paced and flexible environment, is looking to hire a Financial Modelling professional to join in this newly created Manager role.
The role will report to a Head of Finance and work alongside other senior finance team members and senior business stakeholders, supporting the business in key decision making. This is a promising opportunity for a credible Financial modelling professional to join this dynamic project team, undoubtedly gaining a huge sense of job satisfaction and reward. It would be a great way to get a foot in the door at this dynamic organisation, where the typical lifecycle is 18 months - 2 years per role before looking for the next move internally.
Key duties include:
- Managing various models
- Managing the monthly review and challenge for the business, providing high-level analysis of performance, identifying risks and opportunities and driving cost efficiency initiatives
- Ensuring full transparency, understanding and interpretation of costs, clearly articulating drivers
- Providing financial insight, analysis and reporting on performance versus budget and forecast
- Managing the budgeting and forecasting process, challenging to business teams, to deliver a robust plan within timetable
- Evaluating business cases for investment decision, challenging assumptions and ensuring compliance
- Providing expert advice and an independent view to the Finance Leadership Team and CFO
- Driving a commercial focus and challenge to strategic planning and decision making
Key skills & experience required:
- Proven experience of modelling in a commercial finance or big 4 environment
- Accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
- Strong business partnering skills, can operate at senior levels cross-functionally
- Good systems skills (SAP, BI, Anaplan an advantage)
- Advanced Excel
- Proactive and positive approach to problem solving; an analytical and inquiring mind
