Systems Administrator

We're now working on a newly created Systems Administrator role to join the Operations/Transport team within a successful logistics company here in Hemel Hempstead; starting on a temp basis with a view to it going permanent.

This company are renowned in their industry for working on some very high-profile projects with a number of household names and their work can be seen widely across the country.

The role of System Administrator will be to look after all day-to-day tasks in relation to the new system being implemented over the summer, including troubleshooting, tech support, network admin, IT, transport/diary management and more.

The ideal person for this is going to ideally have a good level of experience in a similar role and if you've come from a logistics, transport or supply chain background too, that'd be a huge plus!

It's a full time position, Monday to Friday and standard hours of 7.30am to 4.30pm in place, working fully in the Hemel Hempstead based offices.

The position is going to be paying somewhere between £35k to £40k for the right person, starting as a temp you'd be earning the hourly equivalent and paid weekly.

What to expect day-to-day?

  • Organize and maintain inventory
  • Ensure shipments' and inventory transactions' accuracy
  • Interface with customers to answer questions or solve problems
  • Maintain items record, document necessary information and utilize reports to project warehouse status
  • Identify areas of improvement and establish innovative or adjust existing work procedures and practices
  • Confer and coordinate activities with other departments
  • WMS management
  • Assuring the accuracy of data entry across key systems.
  • Supporting the Systems and Stock Control team to implement new systems and procedures as required.

What do we need from you?

  • 3+ years experience within systems focused administration, ideally within transport, logistics or supply chain.
  • The ability to work a fully office-based role in Hemel Hempstead, working 7.30am to 4.30pm.
  • This is a standalone role between the Ops/Finance teams, so you need to be comfortable working solo and as part of a team.
  • Good people skills - Diary management/coordination plays a large part of this role.
  • Must be numerate.
