Elevation Recruitment Group are currently working with a specialist engineering company who are looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer.
The company design, manufacture and install bespoke, turnkey medium to heavy engineering projects. They have an excellent and very diverse order book of projects working across a number of sectors including major projects and the nuclear sector.
This role will be a senior position within the design team, to lead on the design of projects.
The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for:
- Producing designs of complex, large scale machinery
- Delivering designs from concept to detailed drawings for manufacture
- Liaising with the wider engineering team and production
- Supporting installation and commissioning
- Producing 3D CAD drawings
The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will need:
- A mechanical design background
- Experience of designing large, rotating or moving equipment
- Experience of working in a manufacturing technical engineering environment
- Experience of communicating with customers
- A sound knowledge of mechanical principles and calculations
- 3D CAD experience
