Manufacturing Maintenance Engineer

Due to a rapid increase in demand for our client's products, they are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Maintenance Engineer to join their ambitious team.

As a growing leader in the manufacture of electrochemical sensors for life safety, commercial and industrial applications, they wish to complement their engineering team with an experienced and hands-on Manufacturing Maintenance Engineer who will be responsible for many of our production lines and the quality of the products produced.

The ideal candidate will be qualified in a relevant mechanical/electrical engineering discipline (preferably with a mechanical bias) and will bring with them more than 10 years' experience in a manufacturing environment and have the initiative to work autonomously in a small engineering dept.

Problem solving skills are an inherent requirement for this role as well as an ability to own problems and work collaboratively to solve them. Experience of automated production lines will be desirable. Primarily the role will be to ensure that daily production targets are achieved whilst maintaining the quality levels required. TPM schedule work will also be undertaken daily with occasional facilities maintenance and improvements.

Core responsibilities:

  • Support Production to ensure equipment is available to meet daily targets whilst maintaining the required quality standards.
  • Undertake daily TPM tasks and help develop schedules
  • Actively contribute to continuous improvement of production processes
  • Ensure Quality and Safety standards are met at all times
  • Support our R&D and project departments when required
  • Factory facility maintenance as required

Your skills will include:

  • Ideally qualified to BTEC HNC/ONC level within a manufacturing/engineering discipline
  • >10 years manufacturing experience
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced demanding environment
  • Experience of automated manufacturing equipment
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques and ability to continuously improve processes.
