A market leading media and entertainment business are looking for a highly commercial and influential Head of Group Financial Planning to join a world-class finance team. The this role will play a key role commercially in the group in supporting, advising, and challenging the business. This is an industry and business model where strategy evolves rapidly, decisions and trade-offs are complex and there's no shortage of good ideas. The Head of Group FP&A will play an increasingly catalytic and strategic role in decision making and delivery.

The person in this role will become a trusted advisor and storyteller to the business. Clear reporting and analysis that drives future decision making and value creation. The Group FP&A team has exciting plans to redefine corporate reporting & analysis across the entire business.

The right person for this role will most likely have experience within advisory, investment banking, M&A, transaction services/corporate finance from a business consultancy or Big 4 environment. The business is looking for a smart, engaged thinker who can build trust and advocacy with the business, partnering with them to report clear and accurate financial information.

This is a great role to land in to, to be at the forefront of founding a new corporate Group FP&A team. Help build and recruit a world class FP&A function, providing the platform to influence the agenda on high profile initiatives, working closely with the CFO and senior decision makers across the business. With an exciting finance career path beyond the role.

Key capabilities and experiences we are looking for are:

  • Experience within advisory, investment banking, M&A, transaction services/corporate finance from a business consultancy or Big 4 environment.
  • Skilled in drilling into data to tell the story, drawing on insights and trends to inform company performance
  • You will have a strong sense of intellectual curiosity, an analytical mind and possess the capability to bring stories to life through clear and structured reporting
  • A change mentality and the ability to continuously challenge the status quo are essential to this role
  • Ability to produce clear and insightful presentations that deliver key messaging at the appropriate level of detail incorporating input from multiple stakeholders
  • Track record of influence, persuasion, and engaging communication at all levels of the organisation
