Customer Support Advisor

  • Annual Salary: £24k salary to increase to around £26k after 6 month probation
  • Working hours: Monday – Friday 9-5:30 / Monday – Saturday 9-5:30 with a day off in the week
  • Location: Royal Wootton Bassett
  • Job Type: Full-time

We are currently seeking a Customer Support Advisor to be the first point of after-sales contact for customers. The ideal candidate will process information in response to enquiries, concerns, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Engage directly with customers via telephone and electronically, ensuring a thorough understanding of their needs, wants, and expectations.
  • Maintain and exceed customer service standards, responding promptly to customer enquiries within agreed timescales.
  • Handle and resolve customer complaints effectively.
  • Communicate and collaborate with internal departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Build and maintain relationships with suppliers to jointly resolve any customer queries.
  • Proactively address customer issues, maintaining high standards of service at all times.
  • Conduct inbound and outbound calls with passengers to assist them and encourage repeat bookings through exceptional customer service.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • A passion for delivering excellent customer service, with evidence of success in this area.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think on your feet and show initiative.
  • Proven track record of responding to customer complaints and queries promptly.
  • Empathy and patience in developing customer relationships.
  • Outgoing and confident personality with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Effective communication abilities, both verbally and in writing, across all levels.
  • Ability to work to deadlines with great attention to detail.
  • Calm under pressure and reliable.
  • Good standard of education to GCSE level, particularly in English and Maths.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours when required.

Desirable:

  • Experience in the travel industry is preferred but not essential.
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced office environment while maintaining professional behaviour.
