£50-60,000 + 15% bonus and car allowance £8400
HSE Recruitment are working with a large energy and utilities business are seeking a new process safety lead for the business, replacing a valuable member of the team who is retiring. Your role will be to work closely with the engineering team and act as the Process Safety Lead across their COMAH and high hazard marine sites. You will deliver key projects and process improvements, leading on major accident hazard management and risk management for COMAH sites and ensure site comply with COMAH regulations.
Processes are well established and the wider group provide support and guidance. This will be a hands on role, site based, building up relationships and bridging the gap between general health and safety, process safety and engineering. Liaise directly with the Competent Authorities, manage COMAH intervention plans and act as a focal point for communications. They will work closely across functions and across levels in a leadership/ technical expertise position but with the resource to call upon specialist support when needed. AT times your role will provide more general EHS support and guidance.
What we are looking for-
- Someone with experience managing process safety on other COMAH sites within any high risk sectors such as Oil & Gas, Chemical or Pharma Manufacturing.
- We are open on qualification, whether you've come through an EHS or Engineering background before progressing into process safety.
- Someone with a good background in process safety and functional safety, in particular 61511/ 61508.
- Management of change experience.
- Someone credible, able to engage at all levels, can work in a fast paced demanding business, can own the role, manage their own time and take accountability.
