The Company

Nigel Wright Group is delighted to be working exclusively with a key repeat client, Husqvarna leading their search for a Project Sourcing Manager.

The role will be hybrid working, 50% on site and involves occasional European/global travel.

The Opportunity

The Project Sourcing Manager will work within a global team of Projects Sourcing Managers and they will be the Project Sourcing lead within New Product Development for their specific suite of projects, driving supplier related activities to ensure projects are launched on time, adhering to quality standards and within budget

  • Supplier sourcing and development/onboarding for NPD, working alongside Category Management (key commodities will include – electronics/electromechanical – PCBAs, batteries, cutting motors, wiring assemblies, resins etc
  • Global supplier relationship/performance management, sourcing, contract negotiation through to contract management
  • Collaborating closely with global internal stakeholders to ensure that their requirements are understood and met, building strong relationships (Category, R&D, Engineering, Factory Leads, Industrialisation, Quality and Product Support)
  • Project management – involvement from pre-study through to specification, pilot, SOP and manufacture
  • Managing 2-3 sourcing projects at any one time including involvement in business-wide cost down projects, value engineering

About You

The successful Project Sourcing Manager will have/be:

  • Ideally a Procurement professional with a background in Electronics, however Husqvarna will consider candidates from other sectors including high volume manufacturing
  • Experienced in NPI, change management, project management essential
  • Able to read technical drawings
  • Proactive, positive can-do attitude, ambitious to progress
  • Resilient, strong communicator, confident in engaging, communicating and building relationships cross functionally with internal/external stakeholders of all levels globally
  • Adaptable to the changing requirements within the business, strong prioritisation skills, high attention to detail
