Financial Controller - Construction - West Drayton, Middlesex (onsite)

Trace Recruit is delighted to be working with an industry leading Construction business, who are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join their busy team. As a Financial Controller, you will play a crucial role in managing financial operations, ensuring compliance, and providing strategic insights to drive business growth to the Board of Directors.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and post monthly accruals, prepayments, and other accounting adjustments.
  • Creation and evaluation of accurate month-end reports to include P&L, Balance Sheet, Receivables, Payables.
  • Prepare accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
  • Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting for construction projects.
  • Monitor project costs, analyse variances, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to optimize financial performance.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies.
  • Provide financial support to the management team.

About you:

This role offers scope and variety, and would suit an experienced Finance Manager/Controller to join a rapidly growing business, reporting directly to the CFO and supporting the through an exciting period of growth

  • Qualified ACCA/ACA/CIMA
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in financial management, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities
