Deputy Records Manager

Posted by AWE PLC.

Information Services and Security have a vital role to play in a crucial national mission. We are here to enable the organisation to deliver through the use of technology. As AWE transforms itself to meet the needs of the UK's next-generation nuclear deterrent, we need to adapt to deliver data-driven decision making, flexible and future-proofed IT services, adaptable cyber security, support to a multi-billion Pound building programme, and many more.

An exciting opportunity is available for a Deputy Records Manager to join the Information and Knowledge Management team. The Team oversees the Company's management of information, ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and contractual requirements and supports the administration of key information and records repositories, both physical and digital.

The post holder will work directly under the Records Manager to provide day-to-day support on all aspects of records management; promoting best practice, delivering specialist services, making the best use of new technologies, and responding to the changing needs of the organisation. The successful applicant will need to demonstrate an understanding of the management of information assets throughout their life, from creation to disposal. Experience of records and information management is therefore desirable but not essential as training and development will be provided for the right applicant. However, strong communication skills and the ability to engage with users and stakeholders at all levels across the business are key.
