Are you an experienced Mechanical Fitter looking for a new challenge? This company, based in Telford, is seeking two Mechanical Fitters to join their team on a permanent basis. As a Mechanical Fitter, you will have the opportunity to work with a range of vehicles and equipment, alongside a team of skilled professionals.
The starting salary would be £28,000 per annum with the potential to rise upon completion of a probationary period, overtime is available and is paid at premium rate.
We are looking for someone who has previous Strip & Rebuild experience working with Engines, and anyone with experience with Mechanics, Agricultural, Plant Machinery, Construction, Defence, HGV or LGV Mechanics would be well received.
As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be working for a well established manufacturing business in Telford, Shropshire, working 40 hours per week.
The role would suit someone who is used to getting their hands dirty, has previous mechanical/assembly fitting experience and has experience working in a busy workshop environment.
What You Will Do:
- Strip down and refurbish components
- Clean down the parts once disassembled
- Test the components once reassembled
- Read and understand engineer drawings
- Use hand and power tools daily including spanners and torque wrenches
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations
- Update machinery records and complete supporting paperwork
- Work alongside contractors and suppliers
What You Will Bring:
- Experience within a busy workshop environment
- Experience working with engines
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
- Expertise in mechanical fitting or mechanics
- Previous experience with strip and rebuild
This role is ideal for someone who is used to getting their hands dirty, has previous mechanical/assembly fitting experience, and has experience working in a busy workshop environment. With an annual salary of up to £30,000 per annum, this is an excellent opportunity for anyone with expert knowledge of mechanical fitting or mechanics. In addition, regular overtime is available, paid at T1/3 in the week, T1/2 on Saturdays, and double time on Sundays. You will also receive 33 days holiday (inclusive of bank holidays) and a contribution pension.
