Senior Forensic Social Worker

Eden Brown synergy has an exciting opportunity for a qualified and experienced FORENSIC SOCIAL WORKER currently in a similar or ready to step into a senior role.

The environment (a medium, low secure, rehabilitation ward with psychiatric intensive care units) offers a seamless integral pathway supporting and empowering service users in their recovery and rehabilitation

As a Senior Forensic Social Worker you would be working alongside a multidisciplinary team, manage and support a caseload of up to 24 forensic service users with mental health conditions.

You will be responsible for assessments, CPA reports, Mental Health Tribunals, Managers Hearings and will be requested to supervise junior staff members.

As a senior member of the team, you will:

  • Lead and promote child and adult safeguarding and will empower recovery to encourage service users to engage in their care plans and achieve their goals
  • You would Lead the multidisciplinary teams on non-medical mental capacity issues and best interest decisions
  • Liaising with external agencies to enable them to fulfil their statutory duties, for example: MAPPA, Local Authority Social Services, Police and Probation
  • Supporting carers and families of detained patients
  • As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will be supported regionally and will have access to a variety of training and online courses to support your career development and growth.

Key Requirements for this role:

  • A Social Work qualification with an active Social Work England Registration
  • Have a good working knowledge of the relevant legislation
  • Have at least 2 years' experience of working in a similar environment
