Job Purpose
- Manage a diverse portfolio of tax clients, monitoring the commercial aspects of portfolio management
- Oversee the provision of tax advice across the team
- Oversee complex tax planning, ensuring compliance and quality service at every step
- Mentor junior staff by reviewing work and providing constructive mentorship
- Monitor team performance, identifying knowledge gaps and providing training as needed
- Work directly with Directors and Partners to ensure deadlines and fee recovery targets are met
- Build trusted client relationships, proactively handling queries and problem solving
- Keep up-to-date with tax knowledge, championing knowledge sharing across the team

The Successful Applicant
- CTA / ATT qualified or part qualified
- Qualified by experience also considered
- A strong background working in a personal tax role within practice
- Proven people management experience, with a track record of mentoring junior staff
- Excellent knowledge of tax compliance processes, issues, and regulations
- Self-motivated, reliable and eager to progress
- Confident in reviewing processes and improving systems to boost efficiency
- Strong communication skills are essential, both verbal and written
- Commercial business acumen
