We are looking for a motivated and skilled Musculoskeletal (MSK) Physiotherapist to join our private clinic in Hempstead, Kent. This role involves providing high-quality MSK assessments and treatments to a varied caseload, including sports injuries, post-operative rehabilitation, and general musculoskeletal conditions. While private clinic experience is advantageous, it is not essential. The successful candidate will receive support and training to grow within the clinic and deliver evidence-based care.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established clinic offering excellent facilities and to be part of a friendly, multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clinical Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with MSK conditions, identifying underlying causes of pain and dysfunction.
  • Treatment Planning: Develop and implement tailored treatment and rehabilitation programmes, utilising manual therapy, exercise prescription, and other therapeutic modalities.
  • Manual Therapy: Provide hands-on treatment, including joint mobilisation, manipulation, soft tissue techniques, and other therapies aimed at reducing pain and restoring function.
  • Exercise Prescription: Design and guide patients through appropriate exercise programmes to promote recovery and prevent future injuries.
  • Patient Education: Educate patients on injury prevention, self-management strategies, and long-term recovery plans.
  • Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals within the clinic, such as osteopaths, sports therapists, and personal trainers, to provide holistic care.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in line with clinical standards and legal requirements.
  • Service Development: Contribute to the ongoing development of clinic services and participate in team meetings to improve service delivery and patient care.

Essential Requirements:

  • Qualifications:

  • Degree in Physiotherapy (BSc or MSc).

  • Full registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP).

  • Experience:

  • Experience in MSK physiotherapy (private or NHS) is preferred, but not essential; applications from newly qualified physiotherapists or those with less experience will be considered.

  • Clinical knowledge and hands-on experience in treating a variety of MSK conditions.

  • Skills:

  • Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving abilities in diagnosing and treating musculoskeletal conditions.

  • Proficiency in manual therapy techniques and exercise prescription.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and work well within a team.

  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage a varied caseload.

  • Knowledge:

  • Up-to-date knowledge of MSK physiotherapy treatment approaches, including evidence-based practice in manual therapy and rehabilitation.

  • A proactive attitude towards continuous professional development.

Desirable Requirements:

  • Experience in working in a private practice setting is a plus, but not required.
  • Familiarity with sports injury rehabilitation or post-operative recovery.
  • Any additional certifications or specialisation (e.g., acupuncture, pilates, sports massage) are welcomed but not mandatory.

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary with opportunities for performance-based bonuses.
  • Continuous professional development opportunities, including mentorship, CPD courses, and access to workshops.
  • Access to modern clinic facilities and equipment.
  • Supportive work environment with a collaborative team approach.
  • Flexible working hours, with options for both full-time and part-time roles depending on your preference.
  • Opportunities for career growth within a successful and expanding clinic.

Work Setting:

  • Location: Hempstead, Kent, with the potential to occasionally work in other local clinics as required.
  • Hours: Full-time preferred, but flexible part-time hours available. Some evening and weekend work may be required depending on patient demand.
