Role Overview:
They are seeking a meticulous and dynamic Assistant Financial Controller to support the finance team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the accuracy of financial operations and will involve close collaboration with various departments to drive financial excellence. The ideal candidate will be a newly ACA/ACCA/CIMA accountant from either a practice or industry background.
Key Responsibilities:
- Month-End Close: Oversee and manage the month-end closing process, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reported.
- Budgeting: Assist in the preparation, coordination, and review of the annual budget, working closely with department heads to ensure realistic and achievable financial plans.
- Forecasting: Develop and maintain rolling forecasts, providing insightful variance analysis and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct detailed financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement, delivering actionable insights to senior management.
- Financial Modelling: Create and maintain robust financial models to support business planning and decision-making processes, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
- Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards, preparing accurate financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Support Senior Management: Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management, contributing to strategic discussions and business development initiatives.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies within the finance function, implementing best practices to enhance operational performance.
Qualifications:
- Education: ACA/ACCA/CIMA fully qualified accountant from a practice or industry background
