IT Support Technician Legal Sector

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced IT Manager to oversee our clients IT infrastructure on a salary up to £50,000, with the IT Manager leading various IT projects, and driving technology initiatives forward. The IT Manager will possess a comprehensive technical background, strong project management skills, with the IT Manager having the ability to bridge the gap between external developers and the business. The IT Manager role is pivotal in enabling and configuring technology to support several IT automation projects, creating workflows, and enhancing data infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

IT Infrastructure Management:

  • Oversee and maintain the company's IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability.
  • Manage network, servers, hardware, and software systems.
  • Ensure regular updates, backups, and security protocols are in place and adhered to.
  • System Configuration
  • Configure and optimise hardware and software systems to meet business requirements.
  • Ensure systems are properly integrated and aligned with business processes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any system-related issues efficiently.

Project Management:

  • Lead and manage various IT projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external developers to ensure project requirements are met and aligned with business goals.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and status reports.

Technical Expertise:

  • Provide technical guidance and support to the team and the broader business.
  • Configure and enable technology solutions to drive business efficiency and innovation.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, recommending and implementing improvements where applicable.

Liaison with External Developers:

  • Act as the primary point of contact between Huttons Chandlers and our external development partners.
  • Communicate business requirements to developers and ensure their work aligns with our business objectives.
  • Review and provide feedback on external development work, ensuring it meets our quality standards.

Workflow and Data Infrastructure:

  • Create and optimise workflows to improve business processes and operational efficiency.
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of data infrastructure.
  • Ensure data integrity, accessibility, and security across the organisation.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an IT Manager or similar role, with a strong background in managing IT infrastructure and services.
  • Excellent project management skills, with a track record of successfully delivering IT projects.
  • Strong technical expertise across a range of technologies, including network management, server administration, system configuration, and software configuration.
  • Experience in creating workflows and managing data infrastructure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with external developers and internal stakeholders.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically and innovate.
