Reed Accountancy & Finance are seeking a professional with experience in managing a ledger team within a Finance Manager role for a temporary assignment with our client in Ashford. While direct experience as a Ledger Manager is not a prerequisite, the successful candidate will be expected to effectively oversee the accounts payable and receivable ledgers, ensuring that all financial transactions are accurately recorded and processed promptly.

**Finance Manager

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounts payable and receivable teams.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments, maintaining up-to-date ledger entries.
  • Reconcile ledger accounts and resolve any discrepancies found in records.
  • Prepare financial statements related to accounts receivable and payable.
  • Implement and maintain internal control procedures and policies.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure accuracy of financial data and efficiency of internal processes.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the ledger team, setting objectives and monitoring performance.
  • Assist with the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial reports as required.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience in managing a ledger team within a finance management context.
  • Strong understanding of ledger management, accounts payable, and accounts receivable functions.
  • Excellent organisational and leadership abilities.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Relevant finance qualification or equivalent experience.
