Finance Manager

Elevation Accountancy and Finance are delighted to be working with a fantastic business in the Rotherham area as they look to recruit an Finance Manager into their friendly finance team on a full time, permanent basis.

Role and Responsibilities Working as part of the Finance team your role will be carrying out (but not restricted to) production of the monthly management accounts for review by the Finance Director, daily reconciliation of all company bank accounts, oversight of the company's sales and purchase ledger accounts, preparation and submission of the monthly payroll, the completion and submission of company VAT returns and management of one team member.

Daily Duties

  • Produce monthly management accounts for review by the Finance Director.
  • Daily reconciliation of the company bank accounts.
  • Oversight and maintenance of the company's sales and purchase ledger accounts.
  • Preparation and submission of the monthly payroll.
  • Completion of the company VAT returns, VAT reconciliations and deliver on HMRC reporting.
  • Work with accountants in the preparation, presentation and audit of annual accounts.
  • Work with the Finance Director in preparing and updating company budgets and forecasts.
  • Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost reduction and revenue enhancement opportunities.
  • Work with colleagues across the business in reviewing and developing business processes and systems.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Financial Manager.
  • Able to manage, guide and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
  • Open, honest and strong team worker.
  • A positive, can do attitude.
  • Experience within the automotive sector and of stock management preferred, but not essential.
  • Experience of the import and export of goods.
  • Proficient user of finance software.
  • A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles.
  • Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations.
  • Qualified by experience or part qualified.
