Extended School Coordinator

We are currently seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Extended School Coordinator to join our client's team in Didsbury, Manchester. If you are passionate about working with children aged 4-11 and enjoy planning and delivering engaging activities, then this role is perfect for you!

As an Extended School Coordinator, your main responsibility will be to oversee all lunchtime staff, ensuring that jobs, activities, and sessions are effectively organised and executed. You will work closely with our lunchtime and catering team, building supportive relationships to ensure the well-being of our pupils during lunchtime.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing lunchtime timetables alongside the School Business Manager
  • Liaising with class teachers, leaders, and Senior Leadership Team to address individual pupil needs
  • Ensuring the welfare and dietary requirements of all pupils are met during lunchtime
  • Engaging with our pupils and supporting their development during lunchtime activities
  • Taking prompt action to provide support when difficulties arise
  • Adhering to the school's procedures for child protection, safeguarding, health and safety, and confidentiality
  • Setting clear expectations and providing guidance to supply staff when working during lunchtime sessions
  • Developing an understanding of the specific needs of the children you will be working with

Enhanced DBS and Childrens Barred List check will be required for this role.

To excel in this role, you should possess excellent organisational skills, have the ability to make quick and effective decisions, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience working with children in a school setting is highly desirable.

The working hours for this role can be flexible. Our client offers a fixed-term contract starting on September 2, 2024, for a duration of 12 months. In addition to a competitive salary of £26,873, you will also receive 26 days of holiday entitlement plus bank holidays.
