Hours: Monday - Thursday 8.30am to 17.00 / Friday 08.30am to 16.00

Our client is based in Warrington outskirts and due to purchasing a new acquisition are growing certain parts of their finance department. A very exciting period to join the business as they grow from strength to strength. They have ambitious plans for the next couple of years, specialising in utilities industry across UK and Ireland.
Description
- Process and review invoices, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies
- Maintain the purchase ledger, including reconciling supplier statements and resolving any discrepancies
- Prepare and process payment runs, ensuring timely and accurate payments to suppliers
- Collaborate with internal departments to resolve any invoice or payment issues
- Assist with month-end closing activities, including accruals and reconciliations
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor records in the accounting system
- Provide support for audits and assist with the preparation of financial reports
- Perform data entry and maintain documentation for all financial transactions
Profile
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably as a Purchase Ledger Clerk or Accounts Payable Clerk
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or PeopleSoft
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to analyze information and resolve issues effectively
- Familiarity with HRIS systems such as Workday is a plus
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
