EMEA Payroll Specialist
Rate: £30 - £35 per hour (inside IR35)
Contract Duration: 12 months (until the end of September 2025)
Location: Hybrid (3 days per week in Central London)

Role Overview:

IT Talent is seeking an experienced EMEA Payroll Specialist to join the payroll team of a leading global payments client. This role is pivotal in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll across multiple entities in the EMEA region through the outsourced vendor, ADP.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately process and manage payrolls for assigned entities, ensuring compliance with local country requirements.
  • Validate and submit payroll files from internal and external stakeholders, including time tracking systems.
  • Implement and maintain controls to capture changes month over month, reconciling and explaining any differences.
  • Provide timely and accurate reporting to internal and external agencies and local government authorities, ensuring compliance with local regulations.
  • Schedule, facilitate, and participate in payroll-related meetings and presentations.
  • Monitor the submission of filings and payments to third parties processed by vendors.
  • Directly interact with third parties and tax authorities to resolve issues.
  • Create and maintain control documentation, process flows, and procedures.
  • Continuously drive efficiencies and process improvements within the payroll function.
  • Manage employee payroll issues, including case tracking and handling inquiries from payroll vendors.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a similar payroll role, preferably with EMEA payroll experience.
  • Skills: Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, knowledge of ADP Streamline, and Workday.
  • Communication: Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, with proficiency in English. Additional language skills in German or Spanish are highly desirable.
  • Attributes: Analytical mindset, proactive approach, ability to work under pressure, and attention to detail.
  • Other Requirements: Knowledge of local legal requirements, statutory forms, and reporting is essential. Experience with stock processing (RSU and ESPP) is a plus.
