Based in the midlands, this hybrid role offers both autonomy and collaboration over a six-month contract.

Description
The In-House Legal Advisor will:
- Be the first port of call, and advise on legal issues central to the agriculture industry, working closely with internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage a caseload of various matters keeping all parties updated, and assisting in the progression of matters.
- Update essential business guides and online resources, ensuring members have access to accurate, relevant information.
- Deliver training on legal matters to regional advisors and member representatives, enhancing their knowledge and impact.
- Draft, review, and maintain up-to-date content on legislation, policy guidance, and case outcomes relevant to members.
- Represent the organisation with various industry groups, contributing to collective sector knowledge and strategy.
Profile
The In-House Legal Advisor should be:
- Solicitor or barrister with 2+ PQE.
- Demonstrable legal advisory experience in areas such as litigation, agriculture, policy, industry casework, or member support.
- Proficient in communicating technical legal concepts to non-experts, alongside strong negotiation and presentation skills.
- Comfortable working in a hybrid setting, balancing independent research and collaborative initiatives.
