Admissions Officer Part Time, 24 hours per week, 52 weeks per year Salary: £15,509 per annum (£23,911 pro rata) Burton on Trent, Town Centre Campus

Who are we looking for?

Burton and South Derbyshire College is seeking to appoint a well-organised, committed and enthusiastic individual to join our Learner Services Team.

The successful candidate will form part of the College's vibrant Learner Services Team and play a pivotal role supporting our centralised admissions processes ensuring the successful recruitment and enrolment of learners against College targets. They will also be part of the team delivery of quality information, advice and guidance on a wide and diverse range of support services provided by the college.

The successful candidate will also be required to be a good team-player, with good communication skills and have experience of inputting large volumes of data efficiently and accurately. You will also be required to respond to inbound calls as well as making outbound calls and communications to learners, applicants and parents and so good telephone manner is essential.

Applicants should be qualified to Level 2 or above with vocational experience in Business Administration or Customer Service, or willing to work towards this, and be able to demonstrate a good level of IT literacy. Knowledge of working in customer facing roles would be an advantage. Applicants will predominantly be based in the Learner Hub located at our Burton Campus but you may also be required to work on a rota at our Stephen Burke Construction Academy in Swadlincote.
