Position Summary:
We are seeking a Graduate Electronics Design Engineer. The successful candidate will join our flexible team and contribute to the entire lifecycle of our innovative aircraft lighting products, from initial concept to production. This role requires on-site presence four days a week (Monday - Thursday).
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in the initial concept design of aircraft lighting products.
- Liaise with customers to understand and meet their requirements.
- Perform detailed circuit design and design proving testing.
- Compile and test software, particularly involving PIC microcontrollers or C programming.
- Support formal design review meetings.
- Develop comprehensive product design, test, and specification documentation.
- Create equipment drawing packs using AutoCAD Inventor.
- Design printed circuit boards (PCBs).
- Manage and conduct production testing.
- Perform equipment fault finding and repair.
- Support customer acceptance trials.
- Represent the company at exhibitions in the UK and overseas.
- Visit customers abroad to survey and demonstrate equipment.
Requirements:
- HNC/HND or Degree related to Electronics
- Experience in electronic design engineering, particularly with LED-based products desirable but not essential
- Proficiency in software compilation and testing, especially with PIC microcontrollers or C. desireable but not essential
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Must be a UK national willing to undergo SC level security vetting
