Credit Analyst - Project Finance

Our client is an established international bank located in the city's financial district. An opportunity has arisen for a seasoned Credit Analyst to focus on Project Finance

  • Primary Objectives:*

1. Safeguard the bank from credit-associated losses by accurately identifying and assessing credit risks.
2. Present concise recommendations to the Credit Committee in alignment with the bank's credit guidelines.
3. Continuously observe and evaluate the credit risk within the bank's asset portfolio.

  • Reporting Structure:*

This position is within the Credit Risk Department, which is responsible for Credit Approval and Credit Management functions. The selected candidate will report to the Deputy Head/Manager in the Credit Risk Department, overseeing credit approval activities.

  • Key Responsibilities:*

1. Compile detailed credit evaluation reports highlighting transaction overviews, financial risk analyses, and credit recommendations. Ensure all credit transactions comply with established policies.
2. While primarily focused on project finance, be prepared to engage in various sectors' credit activities based on front office requirements.
3. Evaluate front office proposals critically; draft and present credit opinions to the Credit Committee while upholding an objective stance.
4. Regularly provide the Head of CRD ) with detailed risk analyses and risk mitigation strategies.
5. Manage post-lending activities, which include monitoring credit limits, assessing borrower financial performance, and ensuring adherence to loan conditions throughout the lending term.
6. Undertake regular credit reviews and gather industry/customer-related data for new and ongoing clients.
7. Monitor industry trends to anticipate potential credit risks.
8. Fulfill additional duties as required to support the Head/Deputy Head of Credit Risk.

  • Qualifications:*

-Minimum 10 years experience in a similar role
- Strong analytical capabilities.
- Knowledge of financial instruments and banking credit policies.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
