ICT Apprentice

Computer Angels Limited offer a great new concept in computer support. Allowing our clients to just pick up the phone and one of our skilled technicians will be on the way.

Overview:
We are now looking for an eager candidate to join us as an apprentice.
You will have the opportunity to gain valuable skills, knowledge and experience as you complete a Level 3 IT Azure Cloud Support Specialist Apprenticeship.

Location: Munster Road, London, SW6 5RA

Main responsibilities:

  • To support trading room staff, diagnosing and resolving their IT issues with Microsoft Windows 7, Windows 10, Microsoft Office and other software.
  • To maintain and prepare PC's, laptops, printers, switches and other network equipment.

System Administration of Windows Server including: Active directory, DHCP, DNS, Hypervisor, roaming profiles.

  • Administration of security software such as Watchguard Firewall, Kaspersky Administration Server.
  • Resolving client issues when clients cannot connect to the trading platform.
  • Support and maintain Telecoms Infrastructure (Mitel).
  • Responsibility for Service Requests (e.g. new starters, moves, leavers).
  • Ensure IT documentation is kept up to date.

Desired skills:

  • Knowledge of Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of security software such as firewalls and anti-virus software
  • Able to produce documentation (technical and non-technical)
  • Excellent communication skills

Personal qualities:

  • Must exhibit enthusiasm with a "can do" attitude
  • A constant desire to progress and learn
  • A logical approach to problem solving

Entry requirements:

  • 3 GCSE's (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
  • Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship is in a similar subject

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.

Working week: 40 hours per week. - Monday to Friday, 9am - 6pm.
