Role

The Sports Development and Coach Manager will join our team with the purpose of leading the team who deliver the club sport and social sport programmes, this includes the management of sport coaches. There will be a focus on supporting coaches to deliver to the needs of the student clubs, whilst supporting sport development colleagues to target underrepresented communities within our student body and work to close attainment gaps.

The role is on a full time, permanent basis. It can be completed on a hybrid basis with the expectation that during term time you are on campus for a minimum of 60% of your working week.

Ideal Candidate

To be successful, you will be passionate about the wider benefits of sport and physical activity to participants and communities, with experience of creating and implementing programmes of activity with a range of stakeholders, recruiting, and supporting the workforce to deliver them successfully.

An individual who thrives in supporting others to develop, with a key focus on supporting sports coaches, especially in areas of safeguarding and contributing to student success. A creative team player, who can adapt and engage with a range of audiences, from those we wish to engage in activity to external partners with whom we work. You will have the opportunity to develop professionally and demonstrate direct impact on the student experience.
