Professional Indemnity/Financial Lines Claims Advocate
- This is not a remote working role, however there will be a flexible working arrangements with the option to work from any of the 3 following office locations on a hybrid basis; London, Essex, Leeds*
Our client, who are one of the market's top 5 global brokers are seeking a Claims Advocate to join their dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to work within a professional and collaborative environment, managing a diverse portfolio of Financial Lines claims.
The Claims Advocate will report to the Financial Lines International Claims Manager and will be a key member of a team of 5 within the larger Claims team. The primary responsibility will be to manage a portfolio of Financial Lines claims, specifically focusing on Professional Indemnity, Directors & Officers, and Crime claims from First Notification of Loss (FNOL) to settlement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of Financial Lines claims, particularly PI, D&O, and Crime claims
- Handle UK & Global open market claims directly (Direct/Insurance)
- Negotiate with various stakeholders including markets, clients, placement teams, specialists, underwriters, and appointed authorities (e.g., loss adjusters, lawyers)
- Conduct data analysis to establish claims history, identify trends, and patterns in claims for a client or business segment
- Negotiate payment and settlement of claims with clients and underwriters
- Coordinate discussions and meetings to ensure effective communication between clients, underwriters, and their representatives regarding proposed settlements
- Engage with the Head of Financial Lines Advocacy on strategies to resolve contentious claims
To be considered for the role you must have the following experience:
- Ideally possess experience in Professional Indemnity, D&O or Crime claims
- Proficient in CLASS and ECF processing systems / London market claims experience (preferred)
- Background in Claims Broking/Advocacy or Claims Adjusting from Insurers, Syndicates, and Third-Party Administrators (TPAs)
