We have a high end boutique agency based in South West London who are now looking for a Client Accountant. The role will be a support to the Head of Accounts and forms a vital part of the team. You would be working closely with the Property Services and Lettings teams and requires some client correspondence.
In all areas, you will need to ensure that company policies and procedures are consistently applied to the required standards, delivering on time and with a high degree of accuracy whilst supporting the company's vison and values. The core responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assisting with chasing tenants who are late with rent payments and updating landlords in line with the company's policy.
- Understand general accounts ledgers to be able to explain to tenants, landlords and contractors regarding the position on their account.
- Dealing with queries from branches.
- Checking statements and making payments to tenants, landlords and contractors.
- Chasing up landlords who owe fees.
- Providing references to tenants based on their account history.
- Looking at ways to improve and streamline processes.
- Periodic reporting to client
- Accurate reconciliation of client reports.
- Manage and maintain the property and tenant database.
- Monitor cash handling income in accordance with compliance teams' instruction.
- General procedures that relate to accounts function
The Successful Applicant:
- Excellent eye for attention to detail and accuracy.
- Analytical and confident with data analysis.
- Problem solver with the ability to take ownership and resolve issues both internally and externally.
- Possess strong communication skills.
- 1-2 years of property sector client accounting experience or similar
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong team player
