PE teachers required for KS3 and KS4

Do you have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)/PGCE or an equivalent teaching certification?

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic PE teacher to join our team in Preston, supporting students in KS3 and KS4. The daily pay rate for this position is between £155 and £230, based on your experience, qualifications, and teaching level.

The suitable candidate will play a crucial role in promoting physical health, teamwork, and personal development among students. The responsibilities will include developing and delivering engaging physical education lessons, fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment, and encouraging all students to participate in physical activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver a comprehensive PE curriculum in alignment with educational standards
  • Punctual and reliable
  • Teach classes allocated and provide a well planned challenging, purposeful learning environment
  • Develop approach to self - directed learning, use technology to support learning
  • Use assessment data to inform lesson planning
  • Organise and monitor extracurricular sports activities and events
  • Ensure a high quality of teaching and learning takes place
  • Deal with immediate problems/emergencies according to school policy and procedures
  • Respond to questioning

  • Managing behaviour of pupils whilst undertaking work to ensure a constructive environment
  • Strong classroom management
  • Motivated and enthusiastic demeanour
  • Be an inspiring and engaging communicator
  • Use imagination and innovation to enhance learning experience

Personal attributes:

  • You will have a genuine passion for teaching
  • Experience up to key stage 3 and 4
  • QTS/PGCE equivalent
  • Be flexible and committed
