We are seeking a passionate Year 6 KS2 Class Teacher to join our dedicated team at a primary school in Ripon. This full-time position, starting in June 2024 and running until June 2025, offers standard hours from 8.30 to 3.30, Monday to Friday. With a competitive pay rate, this role provides an exciting opportunity to shape the educational experience of our students.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons that align with the KS2 curriculum, fostering intellectual curiosity and critical thinking skills.
  • Provide effective support and guidance to Year 6 students as they prepare for their transition to secondary school, instilling confidence and resilience.
  • Implement assessment strategies to monitor student progress and identify areas for growth, providing targeted intervention where necessary.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where diversity is celebrated, and every student feels valued and supported.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external stakeholders to ensure the holistic development of each student, addressing their academic, social, and emotional needs.
  • Uphold high standards of professionalism and conduct, serving as a positive role model for students and colleagues alike.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • Newly Qualified Teachers (NQTs/ECTs) are welcome to apply.
  • Enhanced DBS clearance on the update service, or willingness to apply for one, is essential.
  • Team Teach training is desired but not essential, as training can be provided.
  • Proficiency in the national Key Stage Curriculum.
  • Willingness and ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
