Harnham is hiring a Data Governance Manager for a large retail company near Eastbourne. The role involves building the structure for the long-term data governance and quality assurance structure in the organisation from scratch. The role is a 1 year FTC which is likely to change to a permanent hire towards the end of the contract.
THE COMPANY:
This role is for a retail company located near Eastbourne. The company has recently generated a lot of profit and is now looking to expand its team on the back of this. The company is just starting their data journey and they are looking for someone who can wear many hats. The company has built a very friendly culture based on trust and autonomy. This role reports to the Data Protection Officer and is likely to flip to a permanent role at the end of the contract.
THE ROLE:
As a Data Governance Manager, you will be working to build out the data governance structure entirely from scratch. This role will be primarily working with customer data so experience with retention control and GDPR would be beneficial. As the company is just starting their data journey they are looking for someone with experience with customer data who has been in a similar role in the past.
