An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious individual to join a well-established manufacturing firm, based in Sheffield, as they look to appoint an Accounts Assistant!
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the successful applicant will be responsible for managing the company's accounts payable processes, ensuring accurate recording of transactions and maintaining effective communication with suppliers. In addition, there is opportunity for the Accounts Assistant to progress further and support with the accounts receivable, payroll administration and month end/management accounts.
Our client will provide full study support towards AAT/CIMA/ACCA.
Key duties include:
- Processing invoices/credit notes for multiple currencies
- Resolving any invoice related queries from suppliers
- Uploading sales invoices on customer portals for credit control
- Ad-hoc finance admin tasks including scanning, post, etc.
- Direct debit / payment allocations
- Supplier payment runs / international payments
- Staff expense claims
- Bank reconciliations
- Petty cash claims
- Month end support - management accounts preparation
- Year end accounts and liaising with auditors
