Reed Accountancy & Finance are looking for a capable Accounts Assistant to join our client's finance team on a temporary basis in Charing. The ideal candidate will be someone who is organised, proactive, and has a strong understanding of financial processes.
**Accounts Assistant
Day-to-day of the role:
- Assisting with the preparation of financial documents such as invoices, bills, and accounts payable and receivable.
- Completing purchase orders and supprt with payroll.
- Completing bank reconciliations.
- Entering financial information into appropriate software programs.
- Managing company ledgers.
- Processing business expenses.
- Coordinating internal and external audits.
- Verifying balances in account books and rectifying discrepancies.
- Verifying bank deposits and payments.
- Assisting the finance department and senior accounting staff members with various tasks, including preparing budgets, records, and statements.
- Posting daily receipts, and conducting detailed monthly reports.
**Accounts Assistant
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Accounts Assistant or in a similar role.
- Familiarity with finance regulations.
- Hands-on experience with accounting software.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and other MS Office tools.
- Organisation and time management skills.
- Attention to detail, with an ability to spot numerical errors.
- Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information.
