  • Potential to earn £50,000+
  • Flexible working hours
  • Be your own boss
  • Fully remote working
  • Business and marketing support, as a Bill Plant franchisee

Training consists of three parts:

Part 1 - Theory Test

The first part of your driving instructor training comprises a Theory and Hazard Perception test. This assessment is just like the theory element of when you learnt to drive, so it's nothing new! It includes a multiple-choice section, alongside a hazard perception test at the end. With our training, You can study in your own time and complete your training online with unlimited resources available to you, through our brand-new Bill Plant app!

Part 2 - Driving Ability

The second part of your journey to becoming an ADI (Approved Driving Instructor) is a test of your ability to drive. Our award-winning training will allow you to pass this test with flying colours! We offer 10 hours of expert in-car training over 2 consecutive days, or at times mutually agreed between you and your trainer.

Part 3 - Instructional Ability

The third, and final part, refers to your ability to teach others how to drive. A DVSA examiner will watch you give a 45-minute driving lesson to one of your pupils. To prepare you for this final hurdle, we provide you with 40 hours of expert training, containing a mixture of online and in-car sessions. Upon completion of your part 3 training, you can apply for a trainee PDI license where you will be able to start earning an average hourly rate of £36 whilst you teach actual learner drivers in preparation for your final test, all under the sponsorship of an award-winning school like Bill Plant Driving School.
