CMA Recruitment Group is pleased to be assisting their established client with the recruitment of a Financial Analyst / Management Accountant to join their growing organisation. Based in Hook, Hampshire this position will be supporting the Finance team, being responsible for accounting processes, working on product cost reduction and also supporting major projects for purchasing, developing and maintaining supplier relationships.
What will the Financial Analyst role involve?
- Responsibility for the month end process, this involves complete management and understanding of all accounting entries, including monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Management and Group reporting; monthly VAT return submissions; assisting with budget/forecast preparations.
- Understand all accounts ensuring sensibility of postings and analyse movements on accounts.
- Analytical review of Actual against Budget to understand variances, highlight areas which require changes or preventative measures and forecast future performance.
- Development of internal management reporting, including support for ERP system change.
- Assistance in preparing schedules for head office and yearend audit.
Suitable Candidate for the Financial Analyst vacancy:
- This position would suit either a candidate currently studying CIMA/ACCA, or someone who is qualified by experience within a management accounts environment.
- Applicants must have sound management accounting competence, excellent analytical skills and a commercial outlook.
- Experience in producing and driving management information forward is essential along with strong IT skills in Excel/ERP usage (SAP would be an advantage)
