Revenue Manager

I am delighted to be recruiting for an established international law firm in their search for a Revenue Manager to join their London office. The role reports into an experienced Finance Director and heads up the firm's revenue function.

The duties of the role include:

  • Oversee the Global Revenue Team, supported by two Assistant Revenue Managers, including:
  • Conducting training for Accounts staff and onboarding new Partners and Associates in the London office (or delegating to an Assistant Revenue Manager).
  • Managing work distribution within the team to ensure efficiency and addressing training needs.
  • Ensure monthly review and valuation of all WIP by Partners if not billed.
  • Develop and maintain the monthly billing forecast, following up on all potential invoices.
  • Ensure bills and credit notes are processed accurately and sent to clients promptly.
  • Oversee e-billing, including system updates and procedural enhancements.
  • Collaborate with the Credit Control team to achieve Investment Days targets (currently 120).
  • Prepare client fee reports and communicate with Partners and clients.
  • Handle ad hoc reporting requests.
  • Update procedures and ensure compliance.
  • Work with the Finance Systems Team to review and update current systems, ensuring the firm utilizes system functionalities (e.g., Phases and Tasks) and assist with upgrades as needed.
  • Coordinate with the Compliance Department on client and matter setups, escrows, client groups, and third-party billings.
  • Review rate agreements, caps, and agreed fees, ensuring they are correctly entered into Aderant, and work closely with the Pricing Manager.
  • Address time recording queries and monitor time postings.
  • Ensure all tasks comply with local regulatory and statutory requirements.
  • Perform other ad hoc tasks as assigned by the Deputy Finance Director/Finance Director.

The candidates will need experience in:

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the capability to communicate and influence effectively at all organizational levels.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple teams efficiently.
  • Exceptional accuracy and numeracy skills, with the ability to meet strict deadlines and handle high workloads.
  • Proficient in analysing and interpreting financial data, drawing conclusions, and making business recommendations.
  • Preferred knowledge of Aderant, including the latest WIP management and billing modules.
  • Advanced IT skills, particularly in Excel and PowerBI.
  • A minimum of five years' experience in a similar role within an international law firm is preferred.
