Senior Commercial Manager

Fawkes & Reece South are working with a main contractor who are seeking a Commercial Manager or Senior Commercial Manager to lead one of their commercial divisions. The team are working on an infrastructure framework worth well over £150m for the next 10 years on behalf of a private client. Individual projects on this framework will be worth up to £5m and will be based on bespoke contracts derived from NEC contracts. Their projects are in Gloucestershire, Somerset, Wiltshire and Wales.

As a Commercial Manager your role will be to ensure that the commercial team are performing their duties in line with the agreed contract.

You will be involved in (but not limited to):

  • Prepare plans for team development and offering value to all members of the team
  • Providing support and training for site staff on commercial items
  • Cost and value management, to ensure appropriate procedures are in place
  • Develop a strategy for concluding client negotiations
  • Monitor resources and costs to ensure that projects meet and or exceed targets
  • Carry out early value engineering activities ensuring all associated costs of change are included within the evaluation

Requirements including certificates and qualifications:

Quantity Surveying Degree-qualified or equivalent

Experience working as a Commercial Manager on infrastructure projects

Experience on rail frameworks or projects will be advantageous.

Ideally a member of RICS

Candidates must be able to prove their eligibility to work in the UK
