We are currently searching for a talented and experienced Head of Operations to lead and manage the Business Operations (Warehousing and Distribution) for our client in the food industry. As the Head of Operations, you will be responsible for exceeding customer expectations in the most cost-effective way, while delivering the Operations business plan through effective people management.
Key Accountabilities:
- Foster a strong culture of Health and Safety.
- Develop and utilise daily, weekly, and monthly reporting mechanisms to drive performance.
- Create and execute the operations business plan.
- Ensure that resources and capital investments are available to meet operational growth targets.
- Lead and motivate the team to achieve target delivery and performance.
- Set clear expectations and hold individuals accountable for results.
- Improve operational performance, service delivery, financial management, team management and development, legal compliance, cost, and quality.
- Collaborate with other members of the leadership team to align with business plans and priorities.
- Engage team members in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop solutions to deliver premium and cost-effective service.
- Manage budget and costs.
- Ensure legal compliance and internal qualification requirements.
- Communicate business performance to the Operations team and Site General Manager.
- Implement the organisation's standard operating system.
- Meet internal customer expectations.
- Evaluate and recommend solutions for effective capacity planning.
Essential Criteria:
- Ideally, hold a degree or have equivalent experience.
- Excellent influencing and communication skills at all levels.
- Pragmatic problem-solving approach.
- Strong team player and visible leader.
- Commercially focused, customer service driven, and bottom line orientated.
- Ability to work across business and functional boundaries.
- Thrive in a highly competitive and challenging environment.
- Comfortable operating at both strategic and operational levels.
- Proven experience leading, motivating, and developing management and functional teams in a fast-moving environment.
- Operational, Warehousing, and Commercial experience, preferably within the food industry.
- Change management experience.
- Budget and KPI management skills.
