Contracts Manager

My Oxford based client is looking to recruit a permanent Commercial Contracts Manager into their growing team. Reporting into the Commercial Director, the role will be responsible for work including reviewing, drafting, revising and negotiating contracts, monitoring contract performance and compliance, creating a contract oversight process, and working with internal and external stakeholders on projects. It will also take the lead on managing contracts with Local Authorities and dealing with ad-hoc contract matters.

Day to day your role will include:

  • Oversee adherence and compliance of block contracts and Housing contracts by full understanding of the contracts, its terms and key contractual milestones
  • To pro-actively maintain regular liaison with and be the initial point of contact for our Local Authorities and CCGs in relation to contractual matters and opportunities
  • Working with the Commercial Director and internal and external stakeholders to deliver strategies for the Trust to remain a strategic partner beyond the contract end dates,
  • Working with the Commercial Director to negotiate and finalise all commercial or contractual terms and variations to achieve positive outcomes as well as ensuring that contracts keep pace with the changing requirements of the Trust and local authorities that we work with
  • On a monthly basis continually assess and mitigate contractual risks and leverage contract benefits by working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Recognise and resolve contract compliance issues and escalate when necessary

To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate a background in contract management and commercial negotiation as well as the ability to develop, draft and structure contracts. You will need to understand relevant contract law and a knowledge of public sector procurement would also be a benefit.

This is a permanent role with 2 days a week in the Oxford office. Salary on offer is £57,500.
