I am seeking an experienced Supply Chain Planner, for a Brentford-based client who specialises in e-commerce solutions. My client prides themselves on providing exceptional service and seamless product delivery, shaping the future of the e-commerce industry. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in inventory planning and data analysis to support the buying team. This position demands strong analytical skills and effective communication with various stakeholders.

Main duties:

  • Supplier Coordination: Work with overseas suppliers to negotiate product orders, prices, and delivery schedules, ensuring quality standards and customer expectations are met.
  • Data Analysis: Analyse sales data to identify trends and predict future demand, making data-driven decisions about product ordering, placement, and promotions.
  • Forecasting: Develop and maintain forecasting models to guide informed buying decisions.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels and generate purchase orders to ensure timely and accurate reordering, preventing stockouts or overstocking.

Key requirements:

  • Analytical Proficiency: Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and software, such as Excel and ERP systems.
  • Experience: At least 1-3 years of experience as a supply chain planner for general merchandise. Experience in the import and distribution industry is a plus.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with various stakeholders.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Organisational Skills: Strong organisational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Educational Background: Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a similar field would be beneficial.
